POEM: the moment the sky broke...

all the light poured into my eyes,
and all seemed clearer than before...
with an understanding of moments past,
and moments made present within this view...
clearer as the clouds of doubt crept back,
as things seem closer to the way things should be...
as long life is and see this just seeing what is seen,
knowing we have traveled that same road...
it is what we are today,
that makes our tomorrows.
